Why cuticle direction matters
This technical detail makes a huge difference to how extensions look and feel over time. The cuticle is the outer layer of the hair strand, made up of tiny scales that naturally run in one direction. When the cuticle remains aligned, the hair feels smoother, reflects light beautifully, and is far less likely to tangle or matt.
