Terms & Conditions, Booking Policy & Hair Extension Care Agreement

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Only Jess Hair Extensions & Hair Specialist (“Only Jess”, “we”, “our”, “us”). By booking an appointment, paying a deposit, purchasing products, or receiving services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1. Bookings & Deposits

1.1 A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure all appointments.

1.2 No appointment is confirmed until the required deposit has been received.

1.3 Deposits are applied towards the total cost of the appointment.

1.4 Deposits are non-refundable in all circumstances, including but not limited to:

Change of mind

Failure to attend an appointment

Late arrival resulting in cancellation of the appointment

Dissatisfaction with pricing after booking

Failure to follow pre-appointment instructions

Personal circumstances preventing attendance

1.5 By paying a deposit, the client acknowledges that appointment times are reserved exclusively for them and that the deposit compensates Only Jess for the loss of opportunity to accept other bookings.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

2.1 Clients must provide a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to reschedule an appointment.

2.2 Appointment transfers or reschedules are granted at the sole discretion of Only Jess.

2.3 Rescheduling requests made within 48 hours of the appointment may result in forfeiture of the deposit and require a new deposit to secure a future booking.

2.4 Failure to attend an appointment (“No Show”) will result in:

Immediate forfeiture of all deposits paid

Requirement to pay a new deposit before any future bookings are accepted

2.5 Repeated cancellations, rescheduling requests, or no-shows may result in refusal of future bookings.

3. Late Arrivals

3.1 Clients are responsible for arriving on time for their appointment.

3.2 Arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in:

Reduction of service time

Modification of the booked service

Cancellation of the appointment

3.3 Where an appointment cannot proceed due to late arrival, the appointment will be treated as a late cancellation and all deposits will be forfeited.

3.4 Full service charges may still apply where preparation, staffing, or products have already been allocated.

4.1 All quotes provided are estimates only unless otherwise stated.

4.2 Final pricing may vary based on:

Hair length

Hair density

Product requirements

Additional time required

Changes requested during the appointment

4.3 Additional services requested during an appointment may incur additional charges.

4.4 Prices are subject to change without notice.

5. Hair Extension Services

5.1 Hair extensions are a cosmetic enhancement service and outcomes may vary between individuals.

5.2 The lifespan, appearance, retention, and performance of hair extensions depend on numerous factors including:

Hair type

Hair condition

Lifestyle

Home maintenance

Product usage

Environmental factors

5.3 Only Jess does not guarantee that extensions will perform identically for every client.

5.4 Clients acknowledge that hair extensions require ongoing maintenance and professional upkeep.

6. Hair Extension Warranty & Guarantee

6.1 Any workmanship guarantee provided by Only Jess applies solely to the installation of the hair extensions.

6.2 To remain eligible for any guarantee, clients must:

Use only the professional home care products recommended by Only Jess.

Use the extension brush prescribed by Only Jess.

Follow all verbal and written aftercare instructions.

Attend maintenance appointments within the recommended timeframes.

Avoid unauthorised products, treatments, or services that may compromise the extensions.

6.3 Failure to comply with any of the above requirements will immediately void any guarantee.

6.4 The guarantee does not cover:

General wear and tear

Improper home care

Tangling caused by client negligence

Colour changes due to environmental exposure

Heat damage

Chemical damage

Swimming, salt water, chlorine, or sun damage

Damage caused by third-party salons or stylists

Failure to follow aftercare instructions

6.5 Only Jess reserves the right to inspect extensions before determining whether a warranty claim is valid.

7. Product Purchases

7.1 Due to hygiene and safety requirements, opened hair care products, brushes, and extension-related products cannot be returned or exchanged unless required under Australian Consumer Law.

7.2 Clients are responsible for ensuring purchased products are suitable for their needs.

8. Client Disclosure & Suitability

8.1 Clients must disclose all relevant information regarding:

Previous hair treatments

Colour history

Chemical services

Hair loss concerns

Scalp conditions

Allergies or sensitivities

8.2 Only Jess reserves the right to refuse service where:

Hair integrity is compromised

Services may cause damage

Information provided is inaccurate or incomplete

The requested outcome is not achievable

9. Photography & Marketing

9.1 Only Jess may take photographs and videos before, during, and after services.

9.2 Unless otherwise requested in writing prior to the appointment, clients grant permission for such content to be used for:

Social media

Website content

Marketing materials

Educational purposes

Portfolio displays

9.3 Clients may withdraw consent at any time by providing written notice.

10. Australian Consumer Law

10.1 Nothing within these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.

10.2 Where services are supplied in accordance with Australian Consumer Law, Only Jess’s liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Only Jess shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or economic loss arising from:

Hair extension maintenance issues

Client misuse of products

Failure to follow aftercare instructions

Allergic reactions not disclosed prior to service

Services performed by third parties after the appointment

12. Acceptance of Terms

By paying a deposit, booking an appointment, purchasing products, or receiving services from Only Jess, the client acknowledges and agrees to these Terms & Conditions in full.
